He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Rutherford and Rose Rutherford (Kruger); his siblings, Marlys Karsten, Wayne Rutherford, Tom Rutherford and Lanny Rutherford; his siblings-in-law, Casey Karsten, Bob Sonderman and Maureen Rutherford; his nieces, Julie Rasmussen and Darcy Dammann; and his nephew Scot Rutherford.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Rutherford of Manilla; his sons, Kerry Rutherford (Dreva) of Urbandale, IA, Kevin Rutherford (Steve Pirner) of Falcon, CO and Kyle Rutherford (Jan) of Earling, IA; his sisters, Diane Sonderman of Earling and Gloria Lohrmann (Ron) of Manilla; and his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Rutherford and Donna Rutherford. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be allocated to organizations that were meaningful to Ray.
