It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rose Louise Fischer of Manchester, Iowa, born in Dyersville, Iowa, who passed away on September 6, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Florian Meis and Vita Meis (Kalb); her husband Sylvester; her son Donald Fischer; her granddaughter Mikaela Schmidt; her son-in-law Don Erlenbush; her siblings, Mary Ann Peiffer, John Meis, James Meis and Eugene Meis; and her parents-in-law, Henry and Josephine Fischer (Pasker).
She is survived by: her children, Mary Schmidt (Joe) of Manchester, Carol Pins (Keith) of Manchester, Barb Quint (Bob) of Cedar Rapids, Myrna Erlenbush of Washington, Dianne Reth (Russ) of Manchester, Dave Fischer (Joan) of Labadie, Allan Fischer (Sue) of Waukesha and Eugene Fischer of Waterloo; and her siblings, Margaret Hall (Tom) of Independence and Vincent Meis of Dubuque. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
