We are sad to announce that on June 3, 2023, at the age of 86, Robert Frederick Emerson of Manchester, Iowa, born in Howard, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Emerson and Marie Emerson (Anderson); his sister Marianne Fligge (Paul); and his siblings-in-law, Kenny Mensink (Evelyn) and Lois Emerson.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Emerson of Manchester; his children, Steve Emerson (Kristi) of Mount Pleasant, Randy Emerson (Shelly) of Decorah, Jim Emerson (Shari) of Park Rapids and Susan Goebel (Mark) of Masonville; his grandchildren, Mitchell Emerson, Jason Emerson, Kyle Emerson (Kailey), Tyler Goebel (Sarah), Erin Preussner (Will), Ashley Goebel and Kaelan Emerson; his great grandchildren, Khloe and Kiana Emerson; and his brother Doug Emerson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Regional Medical Center or Care Initiatives Hospice Care.
