We are sad to announce that on January 11, 2024, at the age of 91, Marie Theresia Recker of Manchester, Iowa, born in Dubuque, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Burkle and Thekla Burkle (Goedken); her stepmother Theresa Burkle (Goedken); her husband Lloyd Recker; her son Kevin Recker; and her siblings, Agnes, Anna, Helen Sperfslage (Robert), Arnold Burkle, Louis Burkle and John Burkle (Beta).
She is survived by: her children, Michelle Recker of Earlville, Bruce Recker of Waterloo, Melissa Becker (Mark) of Manchester, Dawn Boge (Tim) of Coggon and Kirk Recker (Michaela) of Hiawatha; her grandchildren, Katelyn Recker, Kendallyn Blay (Austin), Karalyn Obertino (Lucas), Ashley Jasper (Brian), Brandon Becker (Jordyn), Trent Becker, Trevor Boge, Macy Boge and Molly Boge; her great grandchildren, Isabelle, Rohen, Astrid, Garrett, Joelle, Lucille, Emmett and Sawyer; her daughter-in-law Pam Recker; and her sisters-in-law, Florella Burkle and Anna Burkle. She is also survived by her family, especially the grandchildren.
Memorials in Marie's memory may be directed to St. Mary Catholic Church.
