With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lyle Byron Potter (Manchester, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 17, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron Potter and Irma Potter (Weis); his siblings-in-law, David Kenyon and Julie Potter; and his great-nephew Jacob Flesher.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy Potter of Cedar Falls; his children, Steve Potter (Jennifer Roberts) of Cedar Falls, John Potter (Krysta Ravn) of Cedar Falls, Catherine Potter of Cedar Falls and Melinda Hutchens (Brian) of Waterloo; his grandchildren, Jack, Sam Potter, Kyleigh, Kenzie Potter, Charles Potter, Theodore Stark, Kannon, Max Hutchens, Evan Potter (Riley Bridgerman) and Atley Potter; his great grandchild Olive Potter; and his siblings, Joan Kramer (David) of Dubuque, Patricia Young (Terry) of Earlville, Denise White (Mark) of Manchester, William Potter (Brenda) of Cedar Rapids, Sharri Burggraaf (Frank) of Liscomb, Mary Portzen (Nicholas) of Cedar Falls, John Potter of Dubuque, Angela Shere (Shawn) of Manchester and Jane Potter of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (119 W Fayette St, Manchester, IA 52057). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery North Franklin (119 W Fayette St, Manchester, IA 52057).
