He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Wegmann and Rosella Wegmann (Westhoff); his wife Karen Wegmann; his brothers, James "Chick" Wegmann and Dan "Boone" Wegmann; and his brother-in-law Dick Lammers.
He is survived by: his children, Carrie Elliott (Jeremy) of Mt. Vernon, Jody DeHeus (Dustin) of Cedar Rapids, Tiffany Salow (Thomas) of Delhi, Brian Wegmann (Megan Werner) of Delhi and Melissa Ries (Chris) of Manchester; his grandchildren, Kristen (Jordan Pennix), Tyler, Ashlee, Carly Elliott, Jaden DeHeus, Aidan, Taylor Salow, Henry, Eleanor and George Ries; his close friend Mary Langel of Dyersville; his siblings, Gerry Wegmann (Jane), Leroy Wegmann (Margie), Ron Wegmann (Norma), Carl Wegmann (Sandra), Lois Lammers, Joyce Deutmeyer (John), Joan Toohey (Pat) and Rose Ann Koelker (Lee); and his sister-in-law Carol Wegmann. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Maquoketa Valley Dollars for Scholars.
