He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Vap and Grace Vap (Vance); his brother Don Vap; his stepfather Bud Harlow; his parents-in-law, Wayne and Elaine Gidley; and his brother-in-law Richard Shafar.
He is survived by: his wife Pam Vap of Manchester; his son Mitchell Vap (Angela); his grandsons, Logan and Levi of Missoula, Montana; his daughter Nicole Freeman (Jeremy) of Sedalia, Missouri; his brother Ron Vap (Rhonda) of Blue Hill, Nebraska; and his siblings-in-law, Janice Vap of Sanibel, Jackie Shafar of Creston and Jim Gidley (Linda) of Omaha, Nebraska. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
