We bid farewell to John Ernest Tyrrell of Manchester, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 30, 2024 at the age of 100. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clark Tyrrell and Mable Tyrrell (Rhines); his wife Clare; his daughter Kathleen Tyrrell; and his sisters, Arlene Johnston (Robert) and Edna Smock (Russell).
He is survived by: his children, Clark Tyrrell (Sue) of Manchester, Greg Tyrrell (Jenny) of Winter Garden, Florida, Gary Tyrrell of Tucson, Arizona, Mike Tyrrell of Manchester and Sara Riehl (Tom) of Des Moines; and his grandchildren, Adam Tyrrell (Brittany), Jessica Jaffe (Dave), Andrew Tyrrell (Julide), Elizabeth Ledford (Caleb), Abigail Tyrrell, David Tyrrell (Caroline), JoAnna Mee (Jon), Daniel Tyrrell, Sam Tyrrell (Aimee) and Josh Tyrrell (Olivia). He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Leonard-Muller Funeral Home (1500 N Franklin St, Manchester, IA 52057). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Manchester Methodist Church (413 E Butler St, Manchester, IA 52057).
