She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Orville Schmitz and Harriet Schmitz (Holverson); her former husband Joseph Thomas; her brother-in-law Vincent Tripi, Sr.; and her nephew Joseph Baum.
She is survived by: her husband Joe Thomas; her sisters, Mary Lee Tripi of California and Sharell Ann Holverson; and also, Vinnie Tripi (Kari), Jaden, Mason Tripi and Stephen Baum.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Leonard-Muller Funeral Home (1500 N Franklin St, Manchester, IA 52057). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cass Township Cemetery East Mission.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be directed to Camp Courageous in Monticello, Iowa.
