He is survived by: his wife Katie Heims of Manchester; his children, Ralph Heims of Manchester, Duane Heims (Karlyn) of Manchester, Melvin Heims (Mary) of Dyersville, Gina Reth (Mike) of Manchester, Joyce Harris (Greg) of Dubuque, Gerene Gibbs (Ed) of Earlville and Dale Heims (Michelle) of Delhi; his son-in-law Randy Burkle of Earlville; his grandchildren, Greg Heims, Jill Dillon (Pat), Blair Schmitt (Zach), Troy Burkle, Brad Burkle (Korrin), Becki Nylund (Adam), Ashley Heims, Angie Heims, Dustin Heims, Adam Reth (Taylor Berry), Kristy Reth, Kaitlyn Reth (Oli Czarnecki), Brett Harris, Blake Harris (Deidre Pitzen), Madison Kuhens (Jett), Heath Gibbs, Eric Heims (Morgan), Brian Heims (Maya Burke) and Mitch Heims; his great grandchildren, Finley, Beckett Schmitt, Olivia, Reagan Nyland, Lena, Knox Burkle, Sean, Kathryn and Kellian Dillon; his siblings, Loras Heims (Celeste) of Dundee and Yvonne Wernimont (Ted) of Iowa City; and his sister-in-law Mary Heims of Manchester. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Because of COVID-19 concerns, masks are recommended at the church.
