It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donald Lahr of Manchester, Iowa, born in Raymond, Iowa, who passed away on February 9, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Lahr and Irene Lahr (Braun); and his siblings, Valene Schnieders, Betty Lahr, Mary Ann Digmann, Joan Heyer, Patricia Pierce, Theresa Lahr, Linda McDowell and Charles Lahr.
He is survived by: his children, Vaughn Lahr (Karen Osterkamp) of Edgewood, Verlynn Lahr of Manchester, Greg Lahr (Linda) of Manchester and Michelle Lukan of Delaware, Iowa; his grandchildren, Maddie, Garrett Lahr, Brittany and James Wright; and his brother LaVern "Tuff" Lahr (Mary) of Marion, Iowa. He is also survived by several brothers-in-law; and a sister-in-law along with many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to the family to benefit several charities to be determined later.
