He was predeceased by: his parents, Rollo Meisgeier and Phyllis Meisgeier (Wendt). He is survived by: his wife Kathy Maurer; his children, Nathan Meisgeier (Melissa) of Fort Dodge and Taylor Martinez (Primo) of El Paso, Texas; his grandchildren, Kathryn, Madelyn, Jocelyn and Luca; his brothers, Jerry Meisgeier (Connie) of Traer and Jim Meisgeier (Carol); his mother-in-law Gail Maurer; and his siblings-in-law, Curt Maurer (Mary) of Manchester and Karen Collins of Urbandale. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A general memorial fund will be set up in honor of Dennis that will help others Make the Day Count. Memorials in his memory may be directed to the family.
