He is survived by: his children, Charles Jr. Fischer (Mary) of New Vienna, Marie Willenborg (Neil) of Petersburg, Arthur Fischer of Dubuque, Sandi Stelken (Dan) of Manchester, Bob Fischer (Dawne) of Manchester and Cheri Heims (Gerry) of Manchester; his grandchildren, Tanya Hill (David), Eddy Willenborg (Leizyl), Jessica Flexsenhar (Bryan), Nic Stelken (Tisha), Ashten Stelken, Kristy Howell (Josh), Kathy Fortier (Clint), Karrie Heister (Joe), Kevin Fischer, Amber Andrews (Timmy), Ryan Fischer (Kinzi), Jeremy Fischer (Shawne Hoeger), Brianna Fischer, Mitch Heims (Lindsey), Holly Inman (Seth), Allison LaRosa (Nick) and Ashley Heims; his great grandchildren, Brandon (Jessica Bohnstengel), Grant, Jacob Hill (Sunshine), Reagan, Keegan Stelken, Emily, Tyler Knoppe, Calvin, Lexie Willenborg, Elsie, Lucy, Adelyne, Leo Flexsenhar, Hope, Ethan, Emmalyn Howell, Cam Heister, Owen, Aria Andrews and Wells Fischer; and his siblings-in-law, Charles Hoefer of Cedar Rapids, Irene Fischer of Dubuque, Verna Mae Hoefer of Manchester and Karen Hoefer of Swisher.
Because of COVID-19, masks are strongly recommended at the funeral home and required at the church.
