Carl Gilbert Gaulke Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carl Gilbert Gaulke of Manchester, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 1, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Gaulke and Mildred Gaulke (Peterson); his siblings, Patrick, Michael Gaulke, Pam Spargrove and Kristy Smith; his parents-in-law, Francis and Orpha Huffman; and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Paul-Shilhanek, Michael Smith, Fred Shilhanek, Darwin "Clem" Paul and Dale Simmons.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Gaulke of Manchester; his children, Jamie Betels (Brett) of Ryan, Chad Gaulke (Jennifer) of Manchester, Dawn Ingles (Kenny) of Manchester and Rebecca Reilly of Walker, Iowa; and his grandchildren, Hailey, Grant, Krista Betels, Colby, Avery Gaulke, Madelyn Gray, Brinley, Camden Ingles, Toxy and Tuff Reilly. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Savior Lutheran Church (116 Guetzko Ct, Manchester, IA 52057).
Memorials in memory of Carl may be directed to either: The Hematology Oncology Department of the Veterans Administration Clinic in Iowa City; or Care Initiatives Hospice.
