He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Summers Benton and Faye Benton (Hurst); his wife Dixie Benton; his son-in-law Scott Gaylord; his sister Eleanor Hoover (Benton); and his sister-in-law Sara Benton.
He is survived by: his children, Todd Benton (Susan), Holly Gaylord and Ty Benton (Jade); his grandchildren, Asher, Chloe Langworthy (Matt), Caleb Gaylord (Kelsey), Christian Gaylord, Haley Benton, Emma Benton (Jake Bartling), Benjamin Benton, Blair Fox (Trey) and Zachary Benton; his great grandchildren, Sophie, Rosalie, Charlotte Langworthy, Ryker, Ryan, Rhys Gaylord and Myles Fox; his brother Roger Benton (Kathy); and his siblings-in-law, Dee Zanders (Joan) and Genelle Zanders. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends.
