He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Max Eugene and Carolyn Edith Vinton (Cunningham); his wife Linda Vinton of Malvern, Iowa; his daughters, Amy Faust (Frank) of Thurman, Iowa, Shelly Wolfe (Danny) of Tabor, Iowa and Jennifer Younts (David Bartles) of Randolph, Iowa; his stepchildren, Stacy Burge (Rod) of Sidney, Iowa and Jennifer Comer (Don) of New Market, Iowa; and his sisters, Patty McCartney (Marty) of Glenwood, Iowa and Karen Holloway (Harold) of Omaha. He was also cherished by 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
