He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Vonnahme and Ethelyn Vonnahme (Wolterman); his brothers, Kenny and Dan; and his sister-in-law Diane.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Anderson of Mary's Catholic Church; his children, Geri McCartan (Pat) and Dennis Vonnahme (Kelly); his grandchildren, Erin, Matt, Jason, Joel, Kate, Jill, Michael and Jenna; his great grandchildren, MaKaylee, Brantley, Kinzley, Dylan and Payton; and his in-laws, Darla Vonnahme, Shirley Behrends (Mike), Rich Anderson and Alan Anderson (Colleen).
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Powers Funeral Home - Pocahontas (502 4th Ave NE, Pocahontas, IA 50574). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church (11 SW 2nd St, Pocahontas, IA 50574). A burial will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at the Calvary Cemetery (201 NE 6th St, Pocahontas, IA 50574).
He consistently put others first and was quick to donate his time and talents to those in need.
