He was predeceased by : his wife Isolina "Betty" Consilvio D'Ercole; his son Jerry; his parents, Wilson Brown and Lucille Brown; his grandson Jed Nesheim; and his sister Patricia Chandler.

He is survived by : his daughters, Nancy Nesheim (Doc) of Mallard, IA, Barb Benz (Scott) of Lake City, IA and Diana McKim (Don) of Creston, IA; his grandchildren, Jason Nesheim (Kelly), Heidi Heinz (Bryan), Corey Brown (Abby), Abbey Brown, Brian Brown (Liz), Sarah Benz, Emily Daedlow (Nate), Ryan McKim (Brittany) and Katie McKim; and his great grandchildren, Claire, Regan, Cael Nesheim, Jackson, Conner, Logan Brown, Raven, Saige Brown, Cayden, Jace, Carter, Maci, Adelyn Brown, Lauren, Sydney Heinz, Irie and River Daedlow.
