He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl Sonksen and Anna Sonksen (Otto); his brother Arnold; and his siblings-in-law, Beverly Sonksen, Roland Welander and Alan Rustan.
He is survived by : his sons, Larry (Karla) and Steve; his wife Trudy; his daughter Lori Goodchild (Koy); and his sister Beverly Welander. He is also survived by brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
