He is survived by: his mother Betty Jantzen (Emmert); his wife Karlene Jantzen of Mary's Catholic Church; his daughter Andrea Jantzen-Krueger (Paul Krueger); and his granddaughter Isabelle Krueger.

Memorials may be directed to the Iowa State Fair in his name.
