He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Axmear and Jean Axmear (Horras); and his brother-in-law Wayne Silver. He is survived by: his wife Lucy Axmear of Malcom; his children, Jerry Axmear (Jane) of Malcom, John Axmear of Malcom and Karen Fenner (Perry) of Grinnell; his grandchildren, Jake Axmear (Tildy), Josie Beck (Brody), Addie Fenner (Nick Pippert) and Tyler Fenner; and his siblings, David Axmear (Betsy) of Sigourney, Joe, John Axmear (Connie) of Keswick, Evelyn Garns (Denny) of Van Meter, IA and Charlotte Axmear of Norwalk, IA.. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
