He is survived by: his wife LuAnn of Malcom; his children, Derek Horton of Malcom and Tiffany Payne (Scott) of Grinnell; his grandchildren, Brandon and Samantha Payne of Grinnell; his stepgrandchildren, Katelyn Anderson of Jessup, Billie Payne of Hazelton and Courtney Rouse of Independence; his sister Cheryl Riess (Larry) of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; and his niece Monica Reiss of Seattle.
