He is survived by: his wife Veda of Madrid; his children, Kathy Steig (Bill) of Madrid and Steve Dyer (Jean) of Madrid; his grandchildren, Darcy Steig of Madrid, Eric Steig of Madrid, Joe Dyer of Madrid and Lillian Dyer of Madrid; his siblings, Irene Moon-Toncar of Altoona, Pat Dyer (Sandy) of Knoxville, Tom Dyer (Korky) of Ankeny and Mike Dyer of Ankeny; and his sister-in-law Teresa Dyer of Ankeny.
