He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Butler (Buck) and Ellen Butler; and his brothers, Tom, Tim and John Butler.
He is survived by: his brother-in-law Doran Hill; his wife Vyla Butler of Madrid Iowa; his daughters, Kelly Bentsen (Chris) and Tricia Butler of Kansas City, MO; his siblings, Jim Butler (Joni) of The Villages, FL, Mary Mooney of Blue Springs, MO, Pat Schoonover (Lane) of Clearwater, FL and Kathy Turner (Allen) of Ellenton, FL; his stepsons, Tony Roberts (Tracy) of Deltona Florida, Randy Roberts and Wesley Roberts (Amber) of Boone Iowa; and his grandchildren, Payton Bentsen, Deven Fox, Taylor, Hunter Roberts, Haylie, Hannah and Callie Roberts.
