She was predeceased by: her parents, Bergliot Swanson and Myron Swanson of Sioux Falls, SD; and her daughter Melanie Young (Brian Ruppert) of Des Moines. She is survived by: her husband Arlo Young of Madrid; her children, Shaela Holtman (Jon) of Ames and Jeff Young of Altoona; her grandchildren, Stephanie Lopez (Tony) of Des Moines, Andrea Holtman (Keegan Riojas) of Costa Mesa, CA and Ethan Holtman of Scranton, PA; her great grandchildren, Lleyton and Eva Lopez; and her siblings, David Swanson (Jan) of Sioux Falls, SD, Jerry Swanson (Sherry) of Sioux Falls, SD, Nancy Stuessi (Dennis) of Centerville, VA and Diane Davis (Mark) of Champlin, MN. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the Young family is accepting memorial contributions in Jan's name for a charity to be named at a later date.
