He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Hicks and Gladys Hicks (Jorgensen); his siblings, Lester Hicks, Brenda Brown and Winona Roberts (Nonie); and his siblings-in-law, Harold Anderson and Rose Chambers.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Anderson; his children, Annette Adams (Albert) and Roger Hicks (Kristie); his grandchildren, Sir Adams (Amber), Cory Adams (Christi), Brannon Adams (Trinity), Kristin Wolfe and Nathan Hicks; his great grandchildren, Abigail Adams, Siranna Adams, Kira Adams, Anastasia Adams, Seraphina Adams, Lilianna Adams, Tommy Adams, Izzy Adams, Israel Adams and Ruthie Adams; and his siblings, Bruce Hicks, Barry Hicks (Patty), Shirley Anderson, Iola Bainter and Carolyn Wachter. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calendar Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory - Perry Chapel (Formerly Carris Funeral Home) (1721 Park St, Perry, IA 50220). A burial will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM.
