He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Reese and Grace Reese (Lehman); his wife Velma; his daughter Linda Kay; his grandson Cameron Owen; and his siblings, Neva Doty and Kenneth.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Gumm (Tim) of Ankeny, Ron Reese (Mary Jo) of Woodward and Bruce Reese (Kelly Reed) of Waukee; his brothers, Max Reese of Davenport and Roy Reese (Marilyn) of Des Moines; and his grandchildren, Curt, Justin, Nick, Brandon, Jennifer, Evan, Brecken, Adeline, Etta and Emilia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Madrid Fire Department EMS or the Sheldahl United Methodist Church.
