She was predeceased by: her parents, Merle, Sr. Snider and Gladys Snider (Higby); her husband John Strait; her son David Peterson; and her siblings, Jerry, Billy, Larry, Danny, Ronnie, Carol and Marla.

She is survived by: her children, Roger Peterson (Kris) of Madrid, Debbie Hurley (Lowell) of Boone and Laurie Brown of Sun City, AZ; and her sister Connie LaValley of Madrid. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
