With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norma Jean Conover of Lynnville, Iowa, who passed away on January 23, 2024 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Norma Jean Conover to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Schmidt and Lenora Schmidt (Kooistra); her husband Bruce Conover; her children, David, Thomas Daniel, Paul Thomas and Deborah Conover; and her siblings, Mary Lois Vande Krol, Barbara Sexton and Sammie Lee Schmidt.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ruth Jansen (Marlo) of Sully and Laurie Conover of Chicago; her grandchildren, Ben Conover (Tara), Angela Patterson (Patrick), Caleigh Dowie (Ryan), Zach Conover (Ashley), Holly Lester (Brandon), Luke Jansen (Jolee) and Noelle Husmann (Brandon); and her brother Freddie Wayne Schmidt. She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held at a later date and her body has been donated to the University of Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Progress Industries; 202 N. 3rd Ave. W.; Newton, Iowa 50208.
