He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Lorenz and Eleanor Lorenz (Hacker); and his sister Joni Marie. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his brothers, Larry (Nancy Engelking) of Luzerne, IA and Jim (Pam) of Peculiar, MO; his children, Jennifer Wright (Wayne) of Normal, IL, Rebecca Oberg (Josh) of Conroy, IA and Timothy Lorenz (Kristin) of Huntington, IN; and his grandchildren, Emma Oberg, Abigail Lorenz, Noelle Lorenz and Oliver Lorenz.

Memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Luzerne or Veterans of the Cross.
