David F. Steffen Obituary
In loving memory of David F. Steffen of Luxemburg, Iowa, who departed this world on March 3, 2025 at the age of 94. David leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Steffen and Catherine Steffen (Wolter); his wife Arlene; his siblings, Reynold Steffen (Mildred), Leonard Steffen (Marie), Wilfred Steffen (Florence), Julius Steffen (Verna Mae), Bernice Decker (Carl), Tharsilla Gerdemann (Joe) and Lorraine Lentz (Frank); and his in-laws, Charlie Nurre (Alice), Alfred "Fritz" Nurre (Rosemarie), Joe Nurre and Marvin Nickol.
He is survived by: his children, Connie Steffen (David J.) of Garber, Jeff Steffen of Epworth, Carla Milbert (Brad) of Dyersville, Marilyn Langel (Kevin) of Epworth, Chuck Steffen (Lisa) of Hiawatha, Rick Steffen (Diane) of Luxemburg, Jill Hoeger (Jeff) of Port Barrington, IL, Jenny Schute of Epworth and Jodie McDermott (Matt) of Epworth; and his in-laws, Helen Nurre of Manchester, Rosemary Nickol of Dyersville, Kenny Nurre (Dottie) of Dyersville and Gary Nurre (Rita) of Petersburg. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 8:45 AM to 9:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A burial was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Cemetery.
