He is survived by: his wife Ann Haxmeier; his children, Jeffrey Steckel (Tina) and Sara Dimmer (Rob); his grandchildren, Justin Steckel (Nicole), Tristin Steckel, Kayci Dimmer and Erin Dimmer; and his siblings, Donna Cox (Richard) of Peoria, Dianne Pins (Steve) and Jack Steckel of Dubuque. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
