She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Lewis and Dorothy Evelyn Collins (Channin); her husband Charles Hawkins; her brother Kenneth Collins; and her son-in-law Bob DeBoom.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Hamburger (Phil) of Gettysburg, SD, Cecilia Kempf (Jerry) of Crawfordsville, IN and Gordon Hawkins (Stephanie) of Fairfield, IA; her grandchildren, Curtis Hamburger (Rachel), Melody Lunning (Grant), Rachael Worthington (Josh), Courtney Kempf, Charles Hamburger (Keeley), Joshua Hawkins and Connor Hawkins; her sister Donna Byers (Jim) of Ankeny, IA; her aunt Hazel Clanin; and her nephew Jason Byers (Tricia) of Des Moines. She is also survived by numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.
We are especially grateful for the loving care that mom continued to receive during this time of Covid and during her final weeks as the staff took on the role of family when we could not be there.
