He was predeceased by: his wife Merna; his parents, Jacob and Gracie; his siblings, Lewis, Walter, Arthur, Nellie Ruth, Fairie Hayward, Ruby Hines and Martha Parrish; his son-in-law Tom Knapp; and his granddaughter Rhonda Hart.
He is survived by: his sisters-in-law, Shirley Richards of Indianola, IA and Donna Routh of Des Moines, IA. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, as well as other relatives and many friends.
