She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Scheppler and Violet Scheppler (Simpson); her husband Paul Alfred Johnson; and her siblings, Mildred, Dorothy, Darlene, Delbert, Wilmer, John and Bernard.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Bruns (Paul), Eric and Julie Van Wiel (Keith); her granddaughters, Anna Bruns, Lindsey Wiele (Kory), Courtney Bruns (Austin Halls), Lisa Van Wiel (Zach Lucas) and Emily Van Wiel; her great grandchildren, Theodore Wiele, Charles Wiele and Everly Lucas; and her sister Marjorie Tudor of Charles City. She is also survived by relatives and her friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church of Chariton, Iowa.
