She was predeceased by: her parents, Allyn Brink and Darlene Hansen Brink; her husband Ben Hefty; her son Blaine Hefty; her grandsons, Aaron and Benjamin Hefty; and her parents-in-law, Henry and Mildred Rummens Hefty.

She is survived by: her sons, Brent Hefty (Corinna) of Lu Verne and Jay Hefty (Lisa) of Lu Verne; her daughter-in-law Deb Hefty of Algona; her grandchildren, Brianne Garcia (Jon), Matthew Hefty (Melissa), Michael Hefty (Shalimar), Kendra Ulicki (Jesse), Kyle Hefty, Calvin Hefty (Sarah), Jordan Hefty (Rune) and Katelyn Deutmeyer (Zachary); her great grandchildren, Drew, Gabe, Lena, Blaine, Cole, Derrick, Hudson, Hank, Harrison, Harlow, Bennett, William and Landon; and her sisters, Raeann Larsen (Bob) of Firestone, Colorado and Nancy Wickett of Humboldt. She is also survived by niece and nephews.
