He was predeceased by: his parents, Knute Meland and Myrtle Meland (Anderson); his wife Judy; and his brother Harlan Meland (Viola). He is survived by: his children, Jim Meland (Brenda) of Northwood, Deb Schnack (Dave) of Nebraska, Angie Drews (Dave) of Clinton and Scott Meland of Sealy, Texas; his stepchildren, Carissa "Carrie" Schroeder, Heath Schroeder (Alyssa), Jason Schroeder (Katie) and Tracie Bernauer; and his stepbrother Kermet Meland. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
