He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Duwa and Zitta Waldschmidt Duwa; his wife Gladys "Irene" Gingerich; his sons, David and Danny; his granddaughter Angie; and his great grandchild Tyler.
He is survived by: his children, LaVonne Gleason (Gary) of Bettendorf, Karen Hamann (Jim) of Long Grove, Vicki Shady (Tom) of West Liberty and Tim Duwa (Jackie) of Lost Nation; his daughters-in-law, Kathy Morrison (Jerry) of Marion and Melodee Duwa (Richard Shewmake) of DeWitt; his grandchildren, Mark, Jason, Michele, Ken, Bonnie, Renee, Joe, Jeremy, Kim, Matthew and Marisa; and his sister-in-law Lucille Duwa of Hills. He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
