She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Steele and Bertha Steele (Reid); and her brother Bob Steele. She is survived by: her husband David Nelson; her sons, Tim Nelson (Cathy) of Durant, Jim Nelson (Julie) of Garden Grove, Carl Nelson (Brenda) of Iowa City and Randy Nelson (Christy) of Rock Island; her grandchildren, Josh, Alicia, Sam, Scott, Brett, Kristie, Acasia, Brandon, Bethany and Amanda; her great grandchild Alric Cross; her nieces and nephews, Bart Steele, Tom Nelson, Tiffany Steele West (Michael) and Wendy Nelson; and her brother-in-law Don Nelson (Kathryn) of Illinois.
