She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Eugene and Leta Serena Thomas (Vestal); her daughter Tami Payton; her granddaughter Tori Rand; her siblings, Nieda Stevens, Karen Thomas and Jerry Stevens; and her former husband Donald Payton II.
She is survived by: her daughter Kasmira Payton (Brett Wadsworth) of Lorimor; her grandchildren, Tiffany Payton of Des Moines, Amber Martin (Luke) of Des Moines and Jesse Rand of Russell; and her siblings, Carol Lambert of Omaha, Nebraska, Charlie Thomas of Osceola, James Thomas (Linda) of Des Moines, Bobby Stevens (Nancy) of Des Moines, Roger Stevens (Glenda) of Des Moines and Donny Stevens (Ann) of Millerton. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
