He was predeceased by: his parents, Lena Alma Drottz (Dishon) and Harry Simon Drottz; his stepmother Pauline Drottz; and his siblings, Harry Drottz, Jane Brinkman and Phoebe Meeks.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Drottz of Lorimor; his sons, Patrick Drottz (Chris) of Des Moines, Michael Drottz (Renee) of Mitchellville and Terry Drottz (Stacy) of Ossian; his grandchildren, Tyler Nielsen, Alex Drottz, Nicole Drottz, Isaiah Rigby, Jacob Drottz, Jessica Drottz, Cameron Drottz, Katelynn Drottz and Zachery Drottz; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Drottz and Dennis Meeks. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
