She was predeceased by: her parents-in-law, Erma Roddewig, Raymond Roddewig, Pearse Newell and Irene Newell; and her brother Dwight Connell (Joyce).
She is survived by: her spouse Eugene Newell; her children, Dan Newell (Julie) of Long Grove and Linda Hanson (Mike); and her grandchildren, Elinor Opitz-Hopfer (Mathew), David Hanson (Ashley Swenson), Matthew Hanson, Steven Hanson and Gus Newell.
