He is survived by: his wife Sylvia "Jean" Schaeffer; his children, Terry Blumer of Davenport, Jeanette Amidon (Bryon) of Andalusia, Barbara Blumer of Long Grove, John A. Blumer of Long Grove and Linda Schulte (Gary) of New Vienna; his grandchildren, Brandon Amidon, Ashley Blumer, Kori Blumer, Wyatt Schulte and Morgan Schulte; and his sister Margie Dau of Davenport.
