He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur L. Vens and Marguerite Vens (Lager); and his sister JoAnn Denklau. He is survived by: his former wife Judith A. Carstens; his wife Judy; his daughters, Jodi Gallens (Dave) of Dixon and Jackie Oetzmann (Kevin) of Long Grove; his grandchildren, Brett, Lindsay, Connor, Carson and Taylor; and his brother Larry Vens of Davenport.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Ann's Church.
