She was predeceased by: her father William Ernest. She is survived by: her mother Martha Peterson (Flynn) of Nichols; her husband Todd Saltzman of Lone Tree; her son Nicholas Saltzman of Lone Tree; and her siblings, Laura Jardine (James) of Davenport and Sean F. Peterson (Amber) of Derby, Kansas..
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services (100 Devoe St, Lone Tree, IA 52755). A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Lone Tree Fire and Rescue or the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Iowa in memory of Mary Ellen.
