With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Les W. Schaapveld (Lone Tree, Iowa), who passed away on October 6, 2019 at the age of 73. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Les W. Schaapveld to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Schaapveld and Wilma Schaapveld (Maher); his stepfather Ed Nelson; and his brother Daniel Schaapveld. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Pool; his children, Brett Schaapveld (Liz) of Nichols, Tony Schaapveld of Lone Tree, Ben Schaapveld (Julie) of Iowa City, Ryan Schaapveld (Rachel) of Lone Tree and Samantha Schaapveld of Kalona; his brothers, Gary Schaapveld (Helen) of North Liberty, Warren Schaapveld (Ann) of Iowa City and Lonny Schaapveld (Nancy) of West Liberty; and his sister-in-law Karen Schaapveld of North Liberty. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Lone Tree Fire and Rescue in memory of Les.
