He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Robert and Gertrude Irene Swanson (Westlake); his sister Carolyn Stahmer; and his brother-in-law Thomas Salm. He is survived by: his children, Paige Henderson (Matt) of Atlanta, Georgia, Taylor Swanson of Wellman and Lydia Swanson of Iowa City; his granddaughter Lillian Henderson; his siblings, Cheryl Schnoebelen (Larry) of Iowa City, Janice Salm of North Liberty, Colene Guthrie (Jim) of Marion and Nancy Swanson of Lone Tree; his brother-in-law Harlan Stahmer of Iowa City; and his pet Louie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
