He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ipsen and Maxine Ipsen (Hyder); and his granddaughter Shiloh. He is survived by: his former spouse Shirley Fischlein; his son Joe; his wife Janis Ipsen of Lone Tree, IA; his children, Elizabeth Ipsen (Vic Aye) of Fairbanks, AK and Joseph Ipsen of Nederland, CO; his grandson Xavier Ipsen of Nederland, CO; his sister Mary Shaw of Rio Rancho, NM; his stepdaughters, Michele Streigle of Grinnell, IA and Marcia Chapman of Anchorage, AK; his granddaughters, Ashlee Ayers (Eric) of Charles City, IA, Amanda Flack (Rob) of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Brandy Miller (Matthew) of Monroe, IA, Keland Roberts (Diego Martin) of Eddyville, IA, Irene Roberts of Eddyville, IA and LaVonne Roberts of Eddyville, IA; and his great grandchildren, Quinton Glandon, Sophia Patterson, Billy Flack, Adrian Martin, Alivia Martin and Damian Martin.
