She was predeceased by: her mother Sharon Freeland (Strickland); her husband Howard Wintjen; her son Laurance Arthur Elgin Jr.; and her grandchildren, Zoe Bonell and Angel Elgin.

She is survived by: her father Terry Albert (Donna) of Rock Island, IL; her boyfriend Carl Olson of Alpha, MN; her children, Robert Dolan of Boonville, NY, Christopher Reffke (William) of Wonder Lake, IL, Elvis Aaron Harris (Beth) of Faucett, MO, Rebecca Love (Jennifer) of Fulton, IL and Andrew Tripp (Kayla) of Lone Rock, IA; her siblings, Robert Albert (Karen) of Monmouth, IL, Cathy Roundtree (Michael) of Burlington, IA, Kimberli Helms (Casey) of Kiethsburg, IL, Melissa Sharp of Galesburg, IL, Darlene Albert of Burlington, IA, Tracy Lufkin (Aaron) of Lone Rock, IA and Brian Lour of Seattle, WA; her stepchildren, Sonny Wintjen (Tina) of Fulton, IL and Cindy Wintjen of Rock Falls, IL; and her stepbrother Todd Stone (Robin) of Rock Island, IL.. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
