He is survived by: his wife Janis Mitchell; his children, Ryan West (Gayla) of Waukee, Renee Pedersen (Adam) of Ledyard and Jerry West of Prairie City; his stepchildren, Nicci Mitchell of Algona, Jaime Smith (Ben) of Clear Lake and Matthew Mitchell (Lany) of Wesley; his grandchildren, Chuck and Sydney Everman; his stepchildren, Jack, Tucker, Beau, Everleigh Pedersen, Ramsey and Atreyu West; his stepgrandchildren, Hannah, Hunter, Hayden, Bentley Smith, Abby, Aly, Carlie, Audrina Yokimishyn, Ruby and Daisy Mitchell; his siblings, LuAnn Widen (Doug) of Cedar Falls, LaDonna Struckman (Charlie) of Bellevue, Lynnette Sorensen (John), Lorri Helleckson (Greg) of Reno, NV, Linda Hendren (Greg) of Pleasant Hill and Rob West (Chelsea) of Van Meter; and his sister-in-law Diane West. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
